Urban trees provide essential ecosystem services, including temperature regulation, cultural and aesthetic values, and support for biodiversity. However, due to global trade and climate change, there is increasing pressure from native and non-native tree insect pests on urban trees and forests.
The 3rd UB3Guard Training School aims to provide the participants with an updated scientific background regarding the biology, diagnosis, and management of insect tree pests.
Program: TS Ljubljana_program.pdf
Target groups: PhD students and young researchers and innovators with relevant interests; professionals working with management and care of urban trees, urban planning, or other related tasks.
Local organizers: Dr Maarten de Groot and Dr Tine Hauptman
