Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) encompass a wide range of strategies and approaches geared towards promoting the conservation, restoration, and sustainable management of natural systems. Harnessing the intrinsic benefits of ecosystems and biodiversity, these solutions deliver sustainable and resilient outcomes, addressing a spectrum of societal and environmental challenges.

The 2nd UB3Guard Training School explores the theory and practical application of Nature-Based Solutions (NBS) within the framework of urban tree biosecurity. Through a blend of lectures, collaborative group activities, and on-site excursions within the city of Malmö, participants engage in discussions on real-life examples and gain insights into the possibilities and hurdles associated with NBS in safeguarding urban trees from pests and pathogens.
