During three sunny and warm days of June, 60 representatives of the four UB3Guard working groups met in the beautiful city of Tartu in southern Estonia where the meeting was generously hosted by the Estonian University of Life Sciences. The first day of the meeting was dedicated to working group progress reports and working group-specific discussions. On the second day, local stakeholders presented their views on current urban tree health issues. The last day’s excursion provided insights into tree care problems in Southern Estonian urban sites and into the unique character of Estonian culture and nature. Important goals were met: networking, making progress with the tasks – and not least – enjoying the company of old and new friends.
